Combination Solar Wind Power Equals Cheap Power Generation


With the recurring power shortage and energy dearth today, everybody seems to look for alternative sources to generate power. While the cost of using fossil fuels continues to skyrocket, other forms of power are growing more and more popular. And even though some places are abundant in sunshine and others never lack for wind, people find combination solar wind power generation systems more practical.

In some parts of the country, solar panels can be used for the efficient generation of electricity. In other parts, wind power can be used regularly. But where the winds weakly blow and the sun rarely shines, electrical power may be scarce. Either of these methods uses batteries to store the power generated, and a power inverter which provides as much as 240 volts to your residence. When the batteries are fully charged, the charging system automatically shuts off. But when the charge in the batteries drops down to a preset voltage, the charger turns back on, maintaining enough power in the batteries from the combination solar wind power grid.

Although both systems send generated power to the charging unit, weather conditions may hinder simultaneous running of the two. Residences where electrical use is virtually non-existent after dark could probably store enough power generated during the day for nighttime use using solar power. However, if the charge in the battery weakens after dark, a combination solar wind power unit would switch to wind power and keep the batteries adequately charged.

With a combination solar wind power generating system, you don’t need gas or diesel generators which cost a bundle and have detrimental environmental effects. What is more, those living in the far corners of the world can have their own cheap source of electrical power even without fossil fuel.
