Solar power works the same whether the panels are brand new or used. The panels are placed in direct sunlight, then the panels turn that sunlight into DC power. Then the power is run through an inverter and hooked directly to your home and/or batteries. This is a very environmentally friendly way of generating power and after your initial purchase, is free to operate. You will need to make sure your panels are installed in an area with the most amount of sunlight available so they produce the most power. Solar panels require very little maintenance once you set them up, so you can almost just forget about them. These aren’t a great choice to power your home, but they will work just fine for an RV, outdoor lighting, or to use in an emergency situation to power a radio or cell phone. Many retailers offer cheap solar panels if you buy a complete package from them. This really benefits you in a couple ways. You are getting a full solar power system for you home and many states will offer you a very large rebate on your purchase from 25-70 percent. That’s a huge discount but takes a few months to receive. There are many different ways to find cheap solar panels but you will need to do some digging around to find a good deal. |
